Small two-classroom school on the island of St. Eustatius in Dutch Antilles in Caribean was executed by flatpack steel framed modules, which could be transported packed in standard see containers, and it thus leaded to cost savings on transportation.
Installation of modules construction themselves, including walls, windows and doors, is simple and takes a very short time. In this case, we used 100 mm thick sandwich panels with mineral wool, which has excellent fire and acoustic protection. Sliding windows have been fitted with storm shutters protecting against sunlight and strong wind during a tropical storm. Entire assembly including unloading of material from sea containers took 7 days. At the end of our stay Dutch king Willem Alexander with Queen Máxima arrived for official visit of the island.
